9:00   Meet your local driver / guide at Adelaide City (CBD) or Glenelg Hotels. . We then travel to Penfolds Magill Estate winery which is the original home of Penfolds and one of Australia’s most prized wines, the world famous Grange.

Join the wine education team for a tasting of Penfolds’ famous labels, see the vineyard where the Grange story started.

11:00  We proceed to Sidewood Estate to enjoy wine & cider tasting

Sustainability and a concern for the environment are high priorities for everyone at Sidewood Estate. Their livelihood depends on preserving their environment and keeping the soil quality at its highest. Adapting to changes in climate and future-proofing the land are all part of Sidewood’s agenda.

Sidewood has implemented many sustainable and environmentally friendly practices across its business. As a result Sidewood Estate is now the largest fully Entwine Accredited sustainable winery in the Adelaide Hills.

12:00 Arrive at Hahndorf. Enjoy a lovely stroll along the main street and take in the German village landscape atmosphere. We then dine German style for lunch at the historic Hahndorf Inn (Lunch Included).

14:00 Proceed to Saint & Scholar winery for wine tasting

The Saint & Scholar vineyard makes for a beautiful, spectacular backdrop for our wine makers. It is north facing and particularly hilly. The hilly terrain means in an area of high rainfall, like the Adelaide Hills, water drains rather well. Together with the beautiful sunlight and naturally cool climate, this makes for a perfect, harmonious environment to ripen quality, consistent vines; soon to be quality, consistent wines.

15:00 Proceed to Beerenberg strawberry & jam farm(PYO Strawberry season October to May – own expense), Melba Chocolate Factory and Woodside Cheese for Chocolate and Cheese tasting(Free). Enjoy all the hand made local produce and delicious flavours. You will find them perfect matching with outstanding Adelaide HIlls’ wines.
